The Los Angles Lakers signed Kendrick Nunn last off-season to a two-year deal, but Nunn missed all of last season due to a knee injury; now, he is 100% ready to contribute to the Lakers roster.
In two preseasons game this year, Nunn is averaging 17 points per game while shooting 60% from the field and 52.9% from three-point land. Of course, it's just a small sample size, but it is something that Nunn could build off of to start the season.
With the way Nunn is playing, he could be starting in the Lakers' backcourt if he continues this strong play. The former Heat player could be an excellent off-ball weapon for the Lakers. With Miami, Nuun shot 38.1% on catch-and-shoot threes and 42.7% on open looks. Playing with Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook, Nunn could see a lot of open shots.
Nunn can also handle the ball in pick-and-roll situations and could be dangerous in transition. The Guard is also solid on the court's defensive end, which could help the Lakers, who are trying to improve on that side of the floor.
Before joining the Lakers, Nunn spent two seasons with the Heat, averaging 15.0 points per game on 45% shooting from the field and 36% from beyond the arc. If Nunn could post similar numbers for Los Angels this season, it would help the Lakers be a better team.
